Yesterday we sold our home. It was quite an emotional weekend. We decided to sell our home in LS to move closer to our jobs and it sold much quicker than we expected - just over 6 months! We packed up the last bit of stuff and did a lot of cleaning on Sunday and had to say good-bye to our fantastic neighbors Andrea & Kahled. That was tough...earlier in the day their daughter Sierria and another neighbor Faith stopped over and asked when we were moving and I said we will be leaving for the final time in about 20 mins. They both said don't go, we like you and they wanted to give me a hug- that's when the tears started. So just before we pulled out the driveway for the last time we said our good-byes, hugs and well wishes. We are truly going to miss them. Andrea said make sure you stop for a visit especially once you have your family! We said we will keep in touch.
Monday, 11/24/08 we signed the final papers at 10:45 am. We met the new owners and it just confirmed what we had heard from our realtor that they were great people. They both stood up and shook our hands when we walked in and asked a lot of questions about the home. They were sincerely interested in us and who we are and our plans on adoption. Before leaving Cheryl (the new owner) gave me a big hug and wished us well in our future and best wishes on our adoption. I asked her for contact info...and she gave me a card and said I am starting my own home staging/decorating business soon....of course, I jumped at the opportunity to say I am interested in working with her and she was interested in that....you never know. So all in all things went smoothly. We are going to miss our home, but are ready to move on and start some place different.
